How can I pay my Medicare part B premium?

1. Automatic Deduction

  • If you receive Social Security, Railroad Retirement, or Civil Service benefits, your Part B premium is usually deducted automatically from your monthly benefit payment.

2. Medicare Easy Pay (Automatic Bank Draft)

  • Sign up for Medicare Easy Pay to have your premium automatically deducted from your checking or savings account each month.

    • You can sign up at Medicare.gov.

3. Online Payment

  • Pay directly through your online Medicare account using a credit card, debit card, or bank account.

    • Go to Medicare.gov, log into your account, and choose “Pay my premium.”

4. By Mail

  • Medicare sends you a bill called a “Medicare Premium Bill” if you’re not set up for automatic deduction.

  • You can mail a check or money order along with the payment coupon to the address listed on the bill.

5. Through Your Bank's Bill Pay Service

  • You can set up payments through your bank’s online bill pay service, using the information on your Medicare Premium Bill.
