What are the different parts of Medicare?
There are 4 Parts of Medicare.
-
Part A: Hospital coverage (inpatient care, skilled nursing, hospice).
-
Part B: Outpatient coverage (doctor visits, preventive care, outpatient services).
-
Part C: Medicare Advantage Plans (private insurance that replace Original Medicare).
-
Part D: Standalone Prescription drug coverage.
Medicare Supplement plans, also known as Medigap, are federally standardized plans that work in addition to Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B, providing the most optimal healthcare coverage.
