When can I change my Medicare Supplement plan?
An individual may change from one Medigap plan to another throughout the year, as long as they medically qualify with the new insurance company.
If an individual has Original Medicare along with a Medicare Supplement plan, commonly referred to as a Medigap plan, they have the option to switch from one Medicare Supplement plan to another at any time during the year. However, each insurance provider has its own unique underwriting criteria. To switch from one Medigap plan to another, the individual must meet the medical qualifications set by that insurance provider.
